Celebrating Africa’s Fashion : Wiki Loves Africa 2015

In our launch post, we wrote about how people around the world have questions about Africa and how one has to search for answers among sparsely distributed content around the web. SwaliAfrica intends to solve that by building a central  platform for Africans to accrue information by posting & responding to insights and rank it all based on relevance.
Apparently Wikipedia feels the same way. Wiki Loves Africa is a photo competition to share the daily practices of people across the continent with each other and the rest of the world, via Wikipedia.

Why you should get involved

SwaliAfrica and Wikipedia both share a passion for showing the richness, difference and beauty of Africa. Many people don’t know they can donate their images, videos and audio unto a public domain and help build more available information about the continent.
